I'm from Minneapolis, and only wish I was there in the crowd. The truth has a voice called: "Rage Against The Machine."

I will be there tonight because I happen to like your music and agree with many of your views. However, it's not a coincidence to why you showed up late for a concert that you were never invited to in the first place. Did you show up late because your car broke down or because the police stopped you from doing so? Oh, that's right, you were providing meals to the homeless at the dorothy day center across from the xcel energy center. I don't think so. No, you had a plan and you followed through. It was smart to do so, because people apparently think you can walk on water and can do no wrong as long as you speak for the "voiceless."

The man kept you down, right? I was there so I guess I can't be as naive as you. They don't call it a political agenda because you were just sitting around looking for something to do on a Tuesday night. I'm not being judgmental; I am merely pointing out that people who can think for themselves know that there are very few coincidences in this world. The band's message would be better received by the masses if it was told outright and truthfully rather than subtle shadow moves and taking advantage of protesters who really feel like they can make a difference. In the end, the band gets publicity as "rebels", the little people are left wanting, and nothing changes. To take advantage of humanity's lust for violence and disorder is the exact opposite of peace. You can say that big brother has done America wrong all you want, but then let me know how that is changing while protesters count the days on their cell wall while Rage goes on to disrupt this country even more. Good Luck with that.

err... nofear, did you actually listen to what Zach was said to the crowd? He said that it was not RATM that the police were afraid of, it was the crowd, the people. The same people the Republican party are afraid of. They certainly weren't trying to steal the limelight, if that is your criticism? What is exactlly your point? The event was part organised by 'substance', a group that aims to merge musicians and political action. Job done...

Yes -- Millionaire musicians taking it to 'the man'. Give me a break. Watching the video of the impromtu concert made me think - "the world really is full of idiots". Talk about a group of mindless sheep. The only reason RATM was there was because they have a concert in MPLS tonight. If Anarchy was reality -- well -- it probably wouldn't be anarchy -- but if we could get away with anything with no consequences -- then all you idiots would be the first on our list to get a lesson taught to you. Because most of us non-idiots realize there are laws for a reason (most of them made because of idiots like you that need babysat all the time) we can't touch you because we have jobs and homes and don't want to get sued by you (when you decide 'the system' is convenient. So we have to settle for watching you get arrested by the cops, which is pretty funny. It is sad that you all think this really makes a difference. Why don't you take all this energy and volunteer somewhere, work at a shelter or soup kitchen. That kind of stuff truly affects someones life and makes a difference. Listening to a couple of dudes on a megaphone who are in it for the money -- doesn't make you an activist -- makes you a chump.

Haters. Tom, keep doing your thing. I was there as well, and appreciated what you guys had to say. Labor day as well. Very cool to see someone still standing up and giving some attention to folks and causes that need it. Thank you.

I actually missed both events in Minneapolis/St.Paul...but have seen you all in action plenty of times...your spirit and passion has been missed greatly. It couldn't be more of a perfect time for you to use your voices and your energy. Everyone needs to rise up and stop talkin smack...it's time to get it right this time. It's people like you that use your position the right way...to reach the people and encourage people who don't use their voice to "get up" and "speak up"...you can hate all you want but nothing is going to go anywhere unless we do something about it now! So RALLY as peacefully as possible and fight for what you want NOW, not later when your RIGHT to fight won't be an option. Peace
